This term, Oak Class has embarked on an exciting journey into the world of stop motion animation, using iPads to bring their stories and ideas to life.

Stop motion animation is a fantastic way for our children to develop their communication skills, creativity, and technical knowledge. It encourages patience and perseverance—key values we hold dear at The Mease—while also fostering teamwork as children collaborate to create their animations.

With the iPads in hand, the children are learning how to plan their sequences carefully, capture images frame by frame, and edit their work to create smooth, captivating animations. This project not only enhances their digital literacy but also strengthens their storytelling abilities, helping them to express their unique voices.

This hands-on experience aligns perfectly with our vision inspired by the parable of the mustard seed: from small beginnings, great things can grow. Each child is like a tiny seed, full of potential, now growing strong roots in creativity and confidence through this innovative project.

We look forward to sharing the finished animations with our school community soon, celebrating the hard work and imagination of our Oak Class children.

Stay tuned to see how these young animators grow and flourish through their stop motion adventures!
