We are truly honoured to have welcomed Bishop Michael to St Andrews Primary as part of his pilgrimage. This special visit not only enriched our school community but also allowed our children to engage meaningfully with our shared values of Koinonia, Wisdom, Love, and Perseverance.
Two of our enthusiastic child representatives had the privilege of giving Bishop Michael a guided tour of our school. They showcased the vibrant learning environments and highlighted the various projects that embody our commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. Their confidence and pride in our school were evident, making the tour a memorable experience for both the Bishop and our students.
One of the highlights of Bishop Michael's visit was when he added his handprint to our Koinonia tree. This symbolic gesture represents our collective growth and unity as a school community. Just as the mustard seed grows into a strong tree, we aspire for each child to flourish and thrive within our nurturing environment. The handprint serves as a lasting reminder of Bishop Michael's visit and the importance of our shared values.
The visit concluded with a worship service led by Reverend John, which explored the theme of pilgrimage. This reflection allowed our children to understand the significance of journeys—both physical and spiritual. It was a moment of connection, where we came together as a community to celebrate our faith and the paths we walk in life.
During the worship, some of our children offered thoughtful prayers for Bishop Michael. Their sincerity and compassion were touching, reminding us all of the importance of community support and the bonds we share. It was a beautiful way to conclude a day filled with inspiration and connection.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Sarah Ennis for playing our school song and "Fishers of Men." Her musical contributions added a joyful atmosphere, enhancing the sense of community and celebration during Bishop Michael's visit.
Bishop Michael’s visit was not just an event; it was a celebration of our values and the spirit of Koinonia that we strive to embody at St Andrews Primary. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our school with him and look forward to continuing our journey of growth and flourishing together.
Thank you, Bishop Michael, for your visit and for inspiring us all!
