Easter Service
Our Easter Service this year was written, directed and produced by the children in Class Three
Irreversible Changes-solutions
For this experiment we used baking soda and vinegar to create an irreversible change. We used differing amounts to see how much CO2 was created by the reaction by capturing the gas in a balloon and then measuring.
Climate Justice
Children created posters for an exhibition in the church to highlight the issues facing the planet, and our role in fighting Climate Injustice.
Irreversible Changes
Class Three worked scientifically using heat to create irreversible changes. They looked at how different materials burned and recorded their observations.
Reversible changes
Children used heat to melt different items then allowed them to cool to see if they changed back to their original state.
Investigating materials
This afternoon we investigated the hardness of different materials using a scratch test.
Periscopes
We built our own periscopes and investigated their uses.
Reflecting light using mirrors
Our scientists spent time investigating how light travels, measuring the angles of the reflected ray against the incoming ray.
Mayan facts through poetry.
To help remember some of our Mayan facts, we put them into an acrostic style poem.
Charcoal art
Using charcoal, Class 3 created graffiti style art of Mayan words.
Citizenship
The groups role played scenarios and highlighting prejudicial behaviour.
