This week, in Geography, Class One took a trip (in our imaginations) to Nairobi, Kenya. We explored the difference between physical features - natural landforms like rivers and hills - and human features, which are man-made like roads and buildings.
working in small groups, the children examined real photographs of different areas in Nairobi, carefully labelling the human and physical features they could spot. After lots of discussion and detective work, we reached our conclusion - Nairobi has more human features because it’s a busy, built-up city!
