This week, the children in Class One became texture detectives as they embarked on an exciting texture hunt in our outdoor classroom! They explored nature, searching for materials with interesting textures - from rough tree bark to smooth shells and bumpy pebbles.
Back in the classroom, the creativity continued as the children used a variety of materials, tools and techniques to recreate the textures with paint. They experimented with printing, dabbing, brushing and stamping to bring their discoveries to life on paper.
It was a fantastic way to connect Art with the natural world, and the children loved exploring how different textures feel and look in their artwork.
