Over the past few weeks, the children have been working hard as historians and authors, carefully inspecting a collection of fascinating vintage toys and traditional games. After examining the details, materials, and mechanisms, each child drafted, edited, and published a detailed descriptive piece of writing about their chosen toy.

To celebrate their hard work, Maple Class hosted special visitors from Willow and Oak Class. Our young authors proudly read their published descriptions aloud, painting vivid pictures with their descriptive vocabulary. They also took on the role of expert museum curators, demonstrating how the old toys and games worked and guiding our guests on how to play with them.

From spinning tops and old teddies to classic board games, Willow and Oak Class had a fantastic time exploring the exhibits and learning from their peers.

A huge well done to Maple Class for their outstanding writing and brilliant presentation skills, and a big thank you to Willow and Oak Class for being such wonderful museum visitors!
