In RE we have been looking at the features of a Mosque. We used the iPads to do a 360degree tour of a mosque and then worked in teams to annotate pictures with what we had learnt.

In Science this week we have been exploring igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. we used the handheld microscopes to observe their appearances.

This week we have been exploring a book called In Our Hands we have enjoyed learning about how to be an illustrator and have created our own illustrations using sketching pencils and watercolours. We have also learned how to be an author and used the ideas in the book to write our own…

Class 2 worked in small groups to act out the poem ‘ I Don’t Like Poetry’ by Joshua Seigal

After sketching our animal we mixed paint to create natural colours to paint our animals.

Class 2 began the day with our mindfulness session of back to back breathing.

We had a visit from the Poet Daniel Thompson today who shared his poems with us. We went on a senses walk to collect ideas for our own nature poem. What a lovely day to be learning outside and inspired by nature.

In our PSHE lesson, we are covering Citizenship. Today we have been planning and designing a poster for the clubs we’d like to have in Clifton Campville. We stood in front of the class and spoke about our clubs and what’s involved.

In PE we have been working on teamwork. Trying to get the hoop around a circle of friends, without letting go of hands,was extremely challenging but so much fun!

We have been so busy building our castles using all the recycled materials we collected. Such teamwork and perseverance. We are so proud of our finished work!

In History we have been learning about castles, today we built our own. We discussed all the parts of a castle and worked in teams to use the 3D shapes to create a castle.
