Excitement was in the air this week as Maple Class got to use our brand-new chromebooks for the very first time!
What We Learned:

Logging On: Every child practised finding and typing their own unique username and password. This is a huge milestone for building independent digital skills!

Mousepad Control: Using an app called Sketchpad, the children used their fingers on the mousepad to make marks, draw lines, and experiment with different colours.

Writing Names: Some brave digital artists even attempted to write their names using the mousepad!
The Big Challenge:
Drawing with a finger on a mousepad is much trickier than using a pencil! The children found it a real test of coordination to control where the lines went, but they showed brilliant resilience and patience as they practised.

- If you have a laptop or tablet at home, let your child practise using a mousepad or keyboard to find letters in their name!
