Maple Class showed off their brilliant agility and control during PE this week as we tackled essential dribbling and bouncing skills through a high-energy game called Dragons, Knights, and Castles!
How to Play
- The Knights: Armed with a ball, the knights had to dribble and bounce their way around the hall, weaving in and out of four different shaped castles.
- The Dragon: A fierce dragon guarded the castles and tried to disrupt the quest!
-
The Goal: Every time a knight successfully dribbled through a castle without losing control of their ball to the dragon, they scored a point!
What We Practised
- Soft Touches: Keeping the ball close using short, controlled taps.
- Heads Up: Looking up while dribbling to dodge the guarding dragon!
-
Pushing Down: Using the fingertips to push the ball down firmly for a smooth bounce.
The playground was full of energetic knightly moves and fantastic sportsmanship. Great work, Maple Class
Try It at Home
Grab a ball in the garden and see if your child can dribble past you while keeping their head up—can they score a point before the dragon catches them?
