What an incredible day we had at Rosliston Forestry Centre!
The children were full of excitement as we became real-life nature detectives, exploring a range of different habitats around the centre in search of minibeasts. Armed with nets, brushes and magnifiers, we carefully searched high and low, spotting fascinating creatures and recording our discoveries along the way.
We also enjoyed using our senses in the herb garden, where the children loved smelling and touching the different plants. In the woods, we got busy building cosy hedgehog houses, working together and using natural materials to create the perfect shelter.
It was a truly fantastic, hands-on experience and a wonderful way to bring our science learning to life beyond the classroom. The children showed great curiosity, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day!
