We have been busy engineers in Maple Class this week! We have officially finished our Moving Storybook project in Design and Technology.
The children have worked incredibly hard to create their own moving storybooks based on the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty. They had to carefully cut, stick, and assemble their pages to include sliders.
The mechanisms in action:
- Vertical Sliders: To make Humpty move up and down the wall.
- Horizontal Sliders: To make the King's horses and men rush across the page to help him!
It was quite tricky to cut the slots in exactly the right place, but the children persevered, and the final results are fantastic.
