Shapes in Nature

To kick off our new maths topic, shape, Class One embarked on a thrilling shape hunt to discover circles and triangles in their environment. From the round wheels of a tricycle to triangular leaves and bug houses, the children were amazed by how shapes are part of everyday life. The activity sparked rich conversations: “Why are wheels always circles?” and “What makes a triangle strong?”
